Why no blogs?

There's a reason for my lack of posting recently. I daren't do the calculations to work out my returns.

Invox, the share I originally bought at 93p as share has fallen to 30p after further purchases at 82p and 49.5p. This has been a truly lamentable investment. It's effects on my portfolio have been tempered, however, by April's gains from SOCO International. However, along with the rest of the commodities market, SOCO has also taken a real pasting lately. I expect I am sat well below water after almost five entire months of the year.

On the horizon, however, is the results from SOCO's latest well offshore Vietnam. A good result here could swing things back in my favour.

On top of Invox's failings, Fayrewood recently issued a profit warning, Chaucer has lost around 10% of it's value and nCipher stumbled slightly as Q1 results were delayed. The only relief has come from my Rightmove short, which has moved into profit, if only slightly. The plan here is to use gains here from my spreadbetting account and recycle them into undervalued shares.

I don't think Invox can get much worse. I expect some corporate action at Fayrewood and any positive drilling news from SOCO would do the share price wonders. So I remain hopeful in a very turbulent market.
